ACT is the oldest progressive grass-roots political action group in the Foothills, and one of the most effective.  For 40 years, we've been fighting for progressive ideals at the city, state, and national levels.  Our special focus and competence is on elections and campaigning; individually and as a group.  Our members have helped elect numerous candidates to local and state office -- candidates committed to making positive changes in our communities. ACT is a great way to meet other politically engaged people -- activists, officeholders, future candidates -- and to get better informed about key issues.  We do have a real impact! 

There is also an opportunity to get involved in the Democratic Party through our sister organization, the Arroyo Democratic Club. We are among five local clubs that form the United Democratic Headquarters.

The Pasadena Area UDH is an independent expenditure campaign
organization not affiliated with the California Democratic Party or the

WE OFFER: A large and experienced volunteer base, a history of successful
elections, a diverse population with a large voter target, and a dedicated
Steering Committee.
WE SEEK: Volunteer/Field Coordinator: Energetic outgoing individual able to develop and
implement plans for recruiting and training a diverse team of volunteers in all aspects of field
work. Must be able to schedule volunteer activities, maintain a volunteer data base, identify lead
volunteers, and help foster a positive experience. Will help to develop and implement community
outreach programs including tracking of voter contacts, and getting out the vote of Democratic
supporters in the targeted areas. Experience with pdi, virtual and in person phone banks helpful.
Reports to Campaign Coordinator. Compensation dependent on skills and experience. Interviews
